The Pearl & Limelight Difference for Skin Rejuvenation

with one comment

Greetings from Cutis Medical Laser Clinics!

In this months treatment feature, we are looking at skin rejuvenation. There are several laser or IPL options for skin rejuvenation and removing sun damage. IPL treatments are commonly available- results are cumulative and gradual, and monthly treatments are necessary. Another option is “fractional resurfacing”- which removes a damaged layer of the skin. Because the fractional treatments treat only a “fraction” or a small percent at any one time, multiple treatments are often necessary resulted in several days of cumulative downtime.

Now, introducing the Pearl & Limelight Difference for Skin Rejuvenation. This combination allows our Limelight IPL to first bring out deeper pigments to the surface, followed by the Pearl laser which then removes the pigmentation and a variety of skin conditions caused by aging and sun exposure.

Our Limelight IPL is the latest twist in a time-tested, laser-like treatment called intense pulse light (IPL) which treats sun damage, brown spots and freckles. The advantage of the Limelight over other IPL systems is its ability to tailor itself to address particular skin problems through programable wavelengths. Additionally, we use the Pearl laser- an FDA approved laser that improves the following skin imperfections:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Discoloration and uneven texture
  • Sun damage and age spots
  • Large pores
  • Dull, tired-looking skin

During a Pearl procedure, the laser delivers very precise pulses of laser energy to the upper layer of skin, causing the dead, damaged skin cells to peel off resurfacing the skin. At the same time, the laser sends heat energy to the deeper layers of skin, stimulating increased collagen production. As a result, patients see both immediate skin rejuvenation benefits and also experience long-term improvement in the skin’s appearance. Unlike many other lasers, the Pearl laser treats the entire face and does not involve significant downtime.

The Pearl & Limelight Difference is now available for $2,400. Call Cutis at 63279700 and find out what the Pearl & Limelight Difference can do for you.

Things you should know about “fillers”

without comments

As we age, our face loses volume, our cheeks begin to sag, and the skin loses collagen and elasticity.  In our youth, our faces have full cheeks whereas the aging face has a deflated and fallen appearance.  Deep wrinkles may form such as those between the nose and cheeks- known as “naso-labial folds”.
Placing fillers can reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, fill in under-eye circles, define or enlarge the lips, and restore volume to areas that appear flattened such as the cheeks.  It can even be used to improve the appearance of your nose- the so-called “5 minute nose job”.  In these and many other ways, you can achieve a natural youthful appearance non-surgically with injectable fillers.
There are many different types of fillers and at Cutis Medical Laser Clinics, we choose the filler that is appropriate for you. Placement of the fillers can result in a pleasing appearance with limited or no downtime.  Fillers can improve:
Forehead and frown lines- with or without the use of Botox (Botulinum Toxin A)
Crow’s feet or laughter lines- the fine lines that radiate away from the eyes, again with or without the use of Botox in combination
Naso-labial lines- deep furrows running between the nose and the cheeks
Marionette lines- lines running down from the corners of the mouth
Lips- by creating a fuller, more defined shape in a natural manner
Facial scars
Nose- correcting a bump, or improving the shape of the nose
Chin- making the chin more balanced with the rest of the face
Cheeks- by restoring the youthful fullness and lift of the cheeks
Visit us at 81 Club Street or call 6327 9700 for an appointment and find out whether fillers are right for you.

Cutis Medical Laser Clinics – Things you should know about Hair Removal

with 2 comments

Greetings from Cutis Medical Laser Clinics!
Hair removal has become one of the most popular aesthetic treatments. More and more women – and also men – prefer the smooth and clean look and feel and hairless skin all over the body.
However, hair removal is also a source of potential complications such as burns. Burns may result when melanin in the skin absorbs the light meant for the hair follicle.  This generates too much heat for the normal surface of the skin resulting in a burn. Patients who have a darker skin type or are newly tanned are at particular risk of burns.  The ability of operators to classify skin types, determine a treatment setting or dose, and the usage of appropriate equipment (Laser vs. IPL)  are critical elements to avoid complications while providing an effective treatment.
We at Cutis Medical Laser use only US FDA approved equipment manufactured by Cutera, Inc.  Our 1064nm laser is the first US FDA approved laser treatment that results in permanent hair reduction for all skin types.  More information on our equipment can be found on www.cutera.com
Also, our medical and scientific director, Dr. Sylvia, is the medical trainer for Cutera in the Asean region and a speaker at Cutera’s Medical Forums.
We invite you to experience permanent hair removal at Cutis with our 1-for-1 hair removal special.
Please call 6327 9700 to set up an appointment.
